Fruit-and-Yoghurt-popsFruit and yoghurt pops

A quick and easy alternative to store bought paddle pops that is healthy and delicious!

You can vary the recipe by using whatever fruit you like such as strawberries, raspberries, banana, mango, kiwi fruit, melon etc, or combinations of a couple of fruits. Quantities are approximate and can be adjusted to taste, and fruit juice can be used to replace some of the yoghurt to make the pop more “icey”.

  •       - fruit – eg 1 punnet washed and hulled strawberries, 2 peeled and chopped bananas, 500 grams peeled and chopped mango, etc
  •       - 1 cup natural or flavoured yoghurt
  •       - 2 tablespoons of honey

Place fruit, yoghurt and honey in a food processor or blender to combine to a smooth consistency.  Pour into plastic paddle pops moulds, and insert the sticks (if using wooden sticks, allow the mixture to become semi frozen, approx 2 hours, before inserting the sticks in the centre of each mould.)  Freeze overnight.

Makes approx 6 – 8 pops.
